Alphas star Azita Ghanizada has admitted that she wants to star on Once Upon a Time.

ABC’s fantasy drama will introduce characters from the Aladdin legend – including the thief himself and his nemesis Jafar – in season two.

Afghan American actress Ghanizada told TVLine that she is eager to be cast as Aladdin’s love interest Princess Jasmine.

“It depends on whether or not they ever cast her,” she admitted. “But if they do, I mean, who else could be Princess Jasmine?”

The 32-year-old also nominated actor Sendhil Ramamurthy (Heroes, Covert Affairs) to play Aladdin.

“It’s perfect,” she said. “Sendhil and I should be Jasmine and Aladdin.”

Fans of Sendhil will recognize Azita as the lovely Mina from their guest spots on Psych’s “Bollywood Homicide” episode!

Sendhil appeared at the 4th Annual Nanubhai Education Foundation Gala in New York City on April 27th at the Angel Orensanz Foundation for Contemporary Art with over 400 guests. The event raised a record $55,000 from ticket sales, an auction and raffle prizes to fund the Foundation’s fellowship program that partners experienced American educators with rural Indian high schools to mentor and inspire local teachers to become excellent educators.

Nanubhai Education Foundation is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit dedicated to providing equal access to India’s rapidly growing economic opportunities to the students of India’s rural public high schools through education. Since 2004, Nanubhai has been transforming access to quality education. They have integrated an innovative program of English and information technology education into the underfunded public schools in the Indian state of Gujarat. The organization was founded on the premise that all Indian students deserve equal access to quality education.

The Office‘s Ryan and Kelly are splitsville — and a Heroes star is to blame!

“We go through a heart-wrenching break-up,” B.J. reveals to me exclusively about an upcoming spring episode. “Ryan and Kelly end up becoming bitter enemies in the office when she falls in love with an Indian doctor. He’s very handsome and a much, much better match for Kelly than Ryan is.”

Considering that handsome Sendhil Ramamurthy — who played Mohinder on Heroes and currently appears as Jai on USA Network’s Covert Affairs — has just been cast in the role of Ravi, I’ll have to agree.

Welcome to!
